As part of our wedding celebration in France 2026, we’d love to invite you to stay at the Chateau for the 3-day event!

Chateau La Commanderie is a 13th century medieval castle in the region of Languedoc. Originally built by a Cathar Lord and later transformed to a ‘commanderie’ (military headquarters) by the Knights of Malta. The castle and cottage sleep 28 people.

The Chateatu is a privately managed estate so we will be your hosts for the weekend, organising everything from the events to transport & breakfast.

What is it?

Chateau La Commanderie is a 13th century medieval castle we have hired entirely for our wedding. This is not a hotel or BnB, so we will be your hosts managing everything for you to enjoy this fabulous weekend in the South of France!

Where is it?

Chateau La Commanderie in a small village of Plaigne in the Occitanie region of France.

how do i get there?

The closest international airport is Toulouse. There is no direct transport to the venue, but you can then either drive to the venue, organise a transfer or get a train to Pamiers and get a taxi / picked up (15 mins).

WHats included?

Accommodation for the entire staying including bedding, towels and amenities. We will also provided a beautiful French breakfast each day and snacks / water throughout the day. There is also an outdoor pool to use and grounds to explore.

How & when do i pay?

Payment is due 31st-May - we will share details privately.
